TRIP TO THE PUMPKIN PATCH

Thank you so very much 4 Year Old preschool families for attending the preschool field trip to Rondriso Farms.  What a fantastic time and the weather could not have been more perfect!

SOME REMINDERS:

3 Year Old Picture Day - October 27th.  Children must be in uniform.
4 Year Old Retakes - October 27th Parents can bring their child to the Parish Centre from 9-10:30.

Parent Participation Bazaar Craft: (one parent must attend for each child)

November 7th     4 Year Am from 9:00 - 9:30
                        4 Yer Pm from 12:30 - 1:00

November 8th     3 Year Old from 9:00 - 9:30

Giving Thanks

During the month of October the children will express thanks to God for all the wonderful things our bodies can do and what we can do for others.  During our Senses Theme we will focus on sight, touch, taste, smell and hearing.  We will enjoy different learning experiences during our circle times and appreciate God’s role in our giftedness.

Hey, My Brain Doesn't Work That Way

Understanding Sensory Processing, Promoting Self-Regulation and Supporting Stress Management

Presented by Marc Landry - Occupational Therapist

October 29th at Precious Blood Parish Centre. 

Preschool Families who are interested are welcome to attend.  Please sign-up in the preschool to reserve your spot as space may be limited.  A detailed flyer regarding this workshop will be sent home with your preschool children. 

Letter Cc Week

This week we will be learning about the letter Cc ~ printing, sight and sound recognition and craft.

• Please bring an apple for Thursday and Friday to make applesauce.
• Thursday and Friday is gym day, so running shoes would be best for these days.

Parents please remember we are a NUT FREE environment, we do have children who have severe allergies, so please avoid packing anything with nuts in their snack, thank you.

Preschool Family List and Buddy List  (grade 3 & 4 buddies) will be coming home this week.  Newsletters and notices will soon be sent out via email.

The children had a fun filled week thanking God for making them so very special.  The children shared appreciation for their hands with handprinting and painting and tracing their feet.  They shared thoughtful conversation on the ways they use their hands, here are some of their words:
Amelie - helping my mommy and daddy.
Nathaniel - playing basketball.
Anthony - playing with my mom and dad.
Liam - playing with giant letters.
Leighla- help clean my room.
Katrina-  say prayers.
Vincent - make oatmeal.
Ezinne - help mommy.
Jose-Carlos - give hugs.

WELCOME TO PRESCHOOL

What a wonderful start to what will be a fantastic year!!  Angela and I have loved getting to know you and your children.

Technology is really growing around here and now we have another great way of being informed-blogging! Please be patient with me as I learn this new way of sharing information.  It is my hope to keep you posted on school events and activities, as well as share special moments experienced with your children.
